Lizzie and Chase } In Love

Tuesday, July 27, 2010

Lizzie and Chase started their relationship earlier than most... as early as the first day of Kindergarten. According to Lizzie "It was love at first sight. ;) They automatically became boyfriend and girlfriend and continued to "date" until Lizzie moved to the new elementary school after 2nd grade." They began to officially date during their sophomore year of high school and the rest is history. This is a special couple to me for a number of reasons. I've know them both growing up and they are two of the kindest, most genuine people you will ever meet.

Chase has been battling cancer since January of 2008 and will be having a very serious and complicated surgery on August 10th and will be losing his left eye and will have to also continue chemo. I know a lot of people read this blog that don't know me personally so I ask to you be praying for Chase and this precious couple. It is so encouraging to see their joy amid trial, a true embodiment of the scripture James 1:2-4 " Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing." I can't wait for their wedding next summer and will be praying it is a cancer-free celebration!!

The Tuggles

Thursday, June 3, 2010

There are a few times in my life that I can distinctly remember meeting people. Not just someone you meet, but someone who after knowing them awhile and you look back you say... meeting that person changed my life. I'm so glad I met them... Well meeting Lauren was one of those days. I walked into the bathroom at Tutwiler dorm at Alabama to brush my teeth and meet this beautiful, sweet girl from across the bathroom. Instant friends. She has always been a friend with Godly counsel and a heart seeking God's will in all she does. She impacted me more than she'll ever know. We've shared college, being next door neighbors, weddings and now babies. It was at her wedding I decided I wanted to be a photographer. She shot my first weddings with me as my assistant, convinced me I could do it, and is now a photographer herself. (here's her site: www.jlaurenphotography.com)

So all that said, this was a fun session for me to be able to do. I love Lauren, I love her family and I loved getting to photograph them... Enjoy!!
